I'm not sure what constitutes "seriously" multi-monitor.  3 or more?  I
wasn't aware of any problems.  I am using two monitors of different
resolutions and have not had any problems recently.  I used to have
screen freezes that happened with my NVidia hardware, but they seem to
have been fixed, and were more kernel rather than Wayland vs X11
dependent.  For NVidia hardware, I had problems with 4K monitors that
was fixed with the 6.4.11 and 6.1.46 kernels.
