It's just another kind of automatic backup to me.  :)



I wonder if a gmane archive can be recreated into a live mailing list.
If a newsgroup fetch is done with an email client, then.. probably?

I also wonder if anyone has made a tool to recreate a mailing list by
scraping archives from the Wayback Machine, since they have a
`-maxdepth 2` style feature to let a list be archived pretty easily in
the first place.
