If/where it works, it works.

The task of converting some weird e-mail format to Mailman-parseable
mbox has a clear victory condition: If following some bit of advice,
from either an alleged human or an alleged large language model
(so-called "generative AI") produces something /var/lib/mailman/bin/arch
correctly parses, then that was a good answer, and it doesn't matter
whether the so-called "AI" understood anything, etc. (Clue: It
doesn't.)

Use of that class of software to, say, write articles for CNET in order
to save on the cost of paying reporters, OTOH, has lead to massive
embarrassment and permanent loss of reputation for what used to be a
reputable publishing outlet.
