Actually, it was foolish man (seen in the mirror) who said that, but he
has occasional flashes of wisdom.

My HMO sent me yesterday an e-mail saying my new health insurance
premium bill (US $70, because Medicare) is available.  I patted the
e-mail on its virtual head and said "That's nice, sonny, but I have
payment and its deadline on my checklist as always, so you run off and
play."

(Morbid humour warning.  Dark patch ahead.)

I used to have a motto that "A checklist will save your life."  And
then, finally, I read the NTSB report for the Pan Am Flight 799 crash
that killed Dad aka Captain Arthur Moen, and amended it to "A
well-debugged checklist will save your life."
