I also wish Wayland supported running remote applications.  :-(  It's a 
useful feature.

It's too bad they didn't follow the Plan 9 design of having /dev/draw 
for graphical instructions alongside /dev/stdin and /dev/stdout.  Then, 
you could have better terminals that you can use to SSH into systems and 
run an application that "takes over" the terminal, except in a truly 
graphical mode instead of ncurses.
