Yes, and I do this as well by connecting using ssh and tunneling the X traffic over the encrypted link. Much more secure than allowing unencrypted client/server X traffic over the network. XWayland allows those remote apps to display on my screen. My point was more that the original methods of X11 client/server communication is not ideal today. For the sake of security, it is not a good idea to have your X server listening for incoming connections.
