Yes, the CIFS subsystem is intended to back up Windows computers. That
portion of fmbackup is somewhat beta. I have made it work, but I've
also seen it fail from a cron job, so it may need more work, or more
documentation. We don't have any full-time Windows boxes here which
need regular backup.

I don't actually like bash scripting very much, but it seemed to be the
right tool for the job here. It works great for Linux systems.
