[GoLUG] Yet again ... returning to the strange one: Guile 3.0 aka Scheme

All, even the sightly interested and Barry also,

In between trying to "'wrapping the noggin'" around new stuff even if it is really old stuff ...

I tried porting several other older Python script to both 'Tcl' and 'Scheme':

  https://github.com/kc4zvw/elm2nextcloud.tcl ( creates a VCARD file from a 'elm' address book )

It would not take much to convert to reading a mutt aliases file instead

https://github.com/kc4zvw/elm2ldif.scm ( creates a LDIF file from an 'elm' address book )

Both these languages can easily run from the command line and 'compile' quickly. I have not really figured
out the 'debugger' of Guile and just do a lot of print statements. Have not really master concatenation of
strings in scheme! Getting a little better and integer conversion with "Tcl."

Also played with another language : 'Kotlin' and if doing a new project would take it more serious but it has
it down sides ... way more docs and many conflicting examples! :-(

(drowning in a hot liquid) .... Java

regards,

David
