[GoLUG] I remember it like it was only three point nine decades ago! (cause it was)

All,

I sat down slowly and stared at the wonder ... it was technology very new to me. I had already
had access to several small computers of which at the time I had already owned at least two 8-bit "Z-80"
era machine.

But this was an American Dream Machine, 3 alpha 'dumb' terminal attached to a PDP-11/34 locally
and I be cruising along at 4800 baud and not slowly creeping over a 300 baud modem. The rest is just history ...

At the time I was using the EDT ( a DEC editor) under RSTS/E and also cutting my teeth with the TECO editor

Later I would get to check out the 'vi' editor and left by the sequence :

    Ctrl-Z and a kill %1

Both editors TECO and 'vi' have a steep starting learning curve.

regards,

David
