All,

I have been trying to build my own packages for scripts and simple applications that I wrote and 'borrowed' and modified. The
results of this project has had various levels of success! :-)

I found that making the XBPS packages to be the easiest but these *.xbps files all get 'dump' in the wrong directories. This is
not GOOD but the mess is easy to clean up as the remove package command works fine.

Also build a few *.deb packages manually and this is not as easy but they do end up in the correct directories. Also the utility
named 'lintian' helps a whole lot in finding errors.

I think this project needs a lot more work!! Have anyone on the list done something similar?

sample:

ii myutils 0.7-1 all This is a directory of local script for USER=kc4zvw

This is a package I created and installed on a Devuan virtual machine.

regards,

David
