[GoLUG] Best Backup method for Linux

I’ve been using Vorta which is a front end for Borg Backup to make local backups to an external drive.

I’m using Tarsnap for my offsite backups, but I limit Tarsnap to just my Documents folder to save costs as that contains my most important data.

Both programs use chunk-level deduplication to save space and bandwidth. Borg also can send data to the cloud, but I started using Tarsnap first and that’s what I have stayed with.
