Hi all,

There have always been Linux saboteurs, starting with Andy Tannenbaum.
The late 1990's and early 2000s were especially rife with them: Steve
Balmer, Craig Mundie, the guy who was famous for being famous Rob
Enderle, the framers of the SSSCA law, and many more. Perhaps the
scariest of all was Darl McBride, the patent troll who took over SCO
and started suing everybody for using Linux. I was worried about the
future of Linux, and I wasn't alone. Eventually the courts ruled
against McBride, but I'm always nervous with guys like him around.

McBride died September 16, 2024, so he can no longer harm Linux.
