It's been a struggle, but I'm at the point where I can confirm: I'll
never write another CSS file again.
My design of 4 years ago was atrocious: dated and inconsistent.
My design of 2 years ago was better.
But when I brought a 2 year old CSS file into a new project, it just was
a mess of unneeded declarations, etc.
Now all I need is occasional things like
> marginTop: "2rem"
with some time to set up some defaults (thought MUI comes with nice
ones), and my current project looks better than anything I've ever done.
By a country mile.
And with ReactJS and MUI combined, I can now see how Very Large⢠sites
are possible, where previously I couldn't figure out how to tackle such
things.
So, MUI vs Tailwind would be a nice demo!
