Who controls https://flathub.org, and how is that different than 
https://snapcraft.io/store?

I've heard the "proprietary" claims before, but anyone can create snaps, 
just like flatpacks.

I don't even know who runs flathub.org, who "tastefully curates" it, or 
anything else from what's stated on https://flathub.org/about
