That's an understatement.

My first LUG meeting was the October 1998 ELUG meeting, at which I did
such a great job at flapping my gums and spouting jargon that convinced
everyone that I was a Linux expert, even though I had 2 weeks Linux
experience at the time.

Well, not everyone. When I started trying to baffle David with my
bullshit, he looked at me like you'd look at an eight year old trying
to convince you he knows General Relativity. You see, at that point
David had something like 10 years UNIX experience :-)
