Yeah. I think that's what they're called, "Hero Image".
Dumb name for a concept that I find dumb - giant image not related to
content requiring scrolling to get to content of main page.
See, I'm not blindly 100% on-board with modern web design...

Highly subjective answer:
First, see point above...
Secondly, it's too busy.
There are annoyingly perfectly dressed and groomed people acting all
businessy - it just feels phony.
Then there's some overlaid light bulbs and other stuff "Devel[something]
Innovation" which is illegible (AI slop?); meaningless clutter.
There seems to be a nod to daVinci or something with the glowing light
bulb and other clutter surrounding it. It adds negative value.
At least brown suit jacket guy's tie matches the blue menu bar.
The only hero images I find mildly tolerable are landscape images - they
can be soothing and the eye can linger and take in the sights.
This one is just visual vomit filling my screen.
Again, all just my opinion as someone with next to zero art or design
skills.
One of the reasons I like Material UI so much - it's hard to make
something where colours clash or where components appear glitchy or out
of place.
