Turn it off now, before you risk brickage.

The minute I heard about Secure Boot I knew it was trouble, and that
was even before I knew that Microsoft was the keeper of the keys.

That goes for UEFI too. The minute I read about it, I knew it was the
wrong solution. It's so complicated nobody can explain it, whereas the
old MBR method was so trivial anybody could write a Python program to
tweak as necessary.

    NOTE:
    I am *not* saying anything bad about GPT partitioning schemes.
    They're great. I'm just saying that for a Desktop computer, use a
    smaller than 2TB with MBR as the root partition, and use GPT on all
    the rest of the disks.
