I tried yesterday to do it myself, but couldn't get in with the
password I have on file.

Is there a way to bounce everything from people not on the list?
There's no reason anyone not on the list should be able to post, and it
would save us the hassle of having to manually decide.

I do need to find the right password so I can put the list on
moderation in the unlikely event of a flame war.
